Formerly called Paddy's Bar (and after that the short lived Fling and Firkin), the Saltire is an attractive corner pub and popular music venue and yet another on Rose St. that offers outside seating (weather permitting!).The interior is mainly an open plan bar with a wooden floor and padded seating around the sides and an assortment of wooden tables scattered in the available space. Not the most salubrious of establishments, and the toilets were not that clean but on the plus side they do sometimes have live music. Live bands every Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Sunday; Karaoke every second Friday. They also do pub food with a Scottish flavour. Pretty average 'battle-cruiser'. Normal hours 11.00am to 12.00 midnight. Friday & Saturday: 11.00am to 1.00am. Sunday: 12.30pm to 1.00am/
