The Burgh was Edinburgh's first non-smoking pub (before the ban). It is tucked away on South St.Andrew Street (next to McDonalds) just off Princes Street. In fact it is probably the closest pub to Princes Street. The street frontage is just the front door but it's like walking into the tardis and the pub broadens out into a huge bar area and dining area.
A traditional style pub, recently refurbished, serving freshly cooked food all day, inc breakfast. It has a relaxed and informal atmosphere. Real ales: Caledonian Deuchars IPA.
Music is supplied via the Avante system to plasma screens around the pub. Live bands on Friday nights.
