Situated on the west end of Rose Street, Scott's is a very traditional Scottish bar with a nice, laid back atmosphere and friendly staff. It offers good pub meals at reasonable prices. The name of the pub came from its redoubtable landlady for many years, Mrs Scott (also known as Ma Scott) who had a reputation for throwing out anyone who rubbed her up the wrong way and being the only person allowed to touch the till. There is a live solo violinist on Thursdays. 11.00am to 1.00am. Sunday: 12.30pm to 1.00am. Real ales: Caledonian Deuchars IPA; Guest beers. Food service times: 12.00 noon to 8.00pm daily. Features in: Good Beer Guide 2007

Submitted by Lord Allan of Moidart on Sunday, December 24, 2006: This place was a refreshing stop after a long walk along Rose Street. A fine pint (Deuchars) with a tasty plate of haggis, neeps and tatties with oatcakes (healthy portions too!!).
Well worth a visit. Submitted by ernie reed on Friday, December 15, 2006: I worked at Scotts as a student after graduating- this was before Campbell Hope & King were taken over by Watneys- who destroyed the traditional circle bar, and installed the foul Red Barrel!
It was a great rugby bar, no yobs, good beer and atmosphere- anyone from that era around? Cheers!
