Biddy Mulligans, Edinburgh

A popular Grassmarket pub with a mixed crowd and decked out in a gothic style. It has a square bar right in the centre of the pub around which gathers posse's of young meat heads. Can get very busy at weekends.

It does an excellent full Scottish breakfast and Sunday roasts. Sometimes has live music. Opens Mon-Sun 9am-1am.

Too many memories. I pulled two parts of my first threeway in here. Good drinks with good service at good (for edinburgh) prices. A lot of Irish people in here but everywhere has its drawbacks.

I went to this pub on the 11th of April with my friend Marta from Spain and we listened to the best singer in Scotland: Andy... My friend fell in love with this guy and left a note for him. We wonder if Andy got it or not... Great Pub, great music and great staff.

Came up for the rugby (13th march) for Wales v Scotland. Excellent pub, great atmosphere and not many doorstaff would let you stick your mate on your shoulders and start an hours worth of welsh singing! Already planning 2007!! Nice One!!
Submitted by sammy on Tuesday, March 08, 2005:
Yeah the staff know nothing about irish things (its a bar and for your information half of the staff that work there are irsih i suggest some people who puts comments like this on this website should go there and say this to the staffs face) The place is really cool and from what ive seen a lot of people come back because they enjoy the atmosphere!!

the bouncers are mostt of the time up their own arse but the pub doesnt choose them rock steady supply them

Submitted by Vin on Monday, February 28, 2005:
Hey folks great little boozer in the middle of town. give the place a chance. when was the last time someone wrote about how good a time they had. people allways remember the bad points. the staff have there off days no need to be so harsh on them, try serving iggnorant, arrogant customers who think that shouting "hoy" , "when you have a minute" or waving a note in your face is the best way to be served on a busy night. Believe me i have had a good number off nights in this place and so have the majority of customers who pass rhrough the doors.

Any how hi to all the staff.

See you mon night for the piss up.

My flat for beers first, Phone me.

vin

It was great bar and i had a wicked time but i have to say that those bouncer guys are really sad one of them exposed himself to me in the back part of the bar, and i wouldent care but he was very "small"!
Submitted by Mark Ryan on Tuesday, June 22, 2004:
A poor excuse for an Irish pub. The Guinness is muck and the staff know nothing about Ireland or Irish products!

Couldn´t agree more m8. Good pub, good beer, friendly staff & clientele but the bouncers have a real attitude problem.
Submitted by Andrew on Monday, January 19, 2004:
It has a nice atmosphere with good beer and nice surroundings. One complaint for which we got ejected for was the bouncers leave the two doors wide open and the pub gets very cold. Why the doors are left open beats me ?!!.We complained and then we were asked to leave. Very strange !!
