This pubs offers fine eating and drinking at reasonable prices. It does a really good pint of Caley 80 in the city.
With its' excellent upstairs bar, Caley ales on tap and a wide range of malt whiskies, this bohemian-esque pub, located very near to Waverley train station is a winner. Pictures of local artists adorn the walls. Often gets lots of workers from the Scotsman in. Worth a look!

Submitted by Jeff on Friday, December 15, 2006: This bar was good before it got "refurbished". If you want an expensive drink in plastic surroundings this is the place for you. Hamish got it right, Hebrides is expensive nowadays too but at least its got a bit of character. Submitted by Hamish on Friday, March 24, 2006: Nothing special downstairs and pretentious upstairs. Try the Hebrides next door it´s far better. Submitted by Tom Hewer on Thursday, December 01, 2005: Went in here for my friends batchelor party. Had a lovely time enjoying a good choice of Whiskies and beer.
Very nice bar staff. Didn´t sample the food but was impressed with everything I did sample. Submitted by Andy on Thursday, March 11, 2004: The bar-food here is perhaps the best value in town and the tastiest too. Submitted by Alex on Tuesday, February 17, 2004: Visited the Doric in Sept last year - great haggis and good beer!! Submitted by john on Thursday, September 25, 2003: the upstairs bar is worth a visit for a relaxing drink, good food upstairs too Submitted by Gavin on Wednesday, September 24, 2003: My wife and I must have picked a bad day - left the Tattoo office and went in at 12.20 and told to come back 10 minutes as they were not ready yet
